The Mount in Acton has been transformed into a Pokémon-themed garden as part of a promotional campaign linked to the launch of a new video game.
The installation, located opposite Morrisons, known as “Pokopia Gardens”, is now open and will run until 30 September 2026. Created by The Pokémon Company International, it forms part of a wider initiative across European cities, including Berlin and Paris, to promote Pokémon Pokopia, a life simulation game.
The Acton site has been redesigned to reflect the game’s concept of rebuilding environments into spaces for Pokémon. It features curated planting, “living walls” and Pokémon-inspired terrariums, alongside visual elements referencing characters from the franchise.
Organisers say the garden is intended to provide a calm, accessible space for residents while encouraging people to spend more time outdoors and is free for the public to visit.
Players of the mobile game Pokémon GO will also be able to access temporary in-game features at the site, including new PokéStops and Gyms for the duration of the installation.
Peter Murphy, senior director of marketing at The Pokémon Company International, said: “We wanted to bring some of that same feeling of growth and brightness to real world communities … creating a space that is full of Pokémon Pokopia’s magic and open to all.”
