Storage unit fire in Hanwell under investigation by police and fire brigade

A person was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire damaged a storage unit at a commercial property in Hanwell on Saturday night (25 July 2026).

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters from Southall, Acton, Heston and nearby fire stations were called to Trumpers Way after the fire broke out at about 10.30pm. One storage unit was partially damaged in the blaze, while a resident from a nearby property was assessed by paramedics.

Firefighters brought the fire under control by 12.32am on Sunday.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the London Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police.
