A residential Hanwell property linked to drug dealing and anti-social behaviour will remain closed for another three months after a court extended an order first imposed in June 2026.
Ealing Council secured the extension at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on 2 September 2026, with the Closure Order now remaining in place for the property on property in Gifford Gardens until 4 December 2026.
Nobody is allowed to enter the property while the order remains in force unless authorised. Anyone breaching the order could face arrest and prosecution.
Police said the extension followed work between Ealing Council and the Metropolitan Police to tackle problems which had affected the local community.
Posting on Met Engage, Sergeant Naeem Fazal, of the Metropolitan Police’s Hanwell Broadway and North Hanwell Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “The extension will help prevent further anti-social behaviour and provide continued reassurance to local residents.”
As previously reported by EALING.NEWS, the residential property in Gifford Gardens, Hanwell, was initially closed for three months in June 2026 following reports of drug-related activity, anti-social behaviour and criminality.
Police previously said there were also concerns that the occupant was being “cuckooed” – where criminals take over the home of a vulnerable person to use it for criminal activity.
Sergeant Fazal added: “We are also pleased that suitable supported accommodation is being sourced for the individual concerned, supporting a positive and sustainable long-term outcome.”
