A residential property in Hanwell has been closed for three months after police secured a court order linking it to drug-related activity, anti-social behaviour and criminality.
The closure order was granted at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court last Friday (5 June 2026) following an application by the Metropolitan Police concerning a property in Gifford Gardens.
Nobody is allowed to enter the property while the order remains in force unless authorised. Anyone breaching the order could face arrest and prosecution.
Posting on Met Engage, Sergeant Naeem Fazal, of the Hanwell Broadway and North Hanwell Safer Neighbourhood Teams, thanked local residents for helping police secure the order.
He said: “We would like to express our sincere thanks to members of the local community for their continued support, information, and cooperation, which have been instrumental in securing this Closure Order and improving safety in the area.”
The order will remain in place until September 2026.
Sergeant Fazal added: “We are committed to tackling drug dealing wherever we find it. We will keep you updated on our efforts to do this in your area, but if you have any concerns or evidence, it is important you report this as soon as possible.”
Information can be reported to police online, by calling 101, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via its untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
