A disappointing result for Hanwell Town saw them fall on Saturday (17 October 2026) to defeat against high flying Bath City. Two quick fire early goals from Enzio Boldewijn and Harry Parsons helped the visitors to three points.
In just the first minute, a free kick on the right side of the box was converted by Boldewijn. His looping effort caught out Beasant and flew over him into the left corner.
Just eight minutes later, the visitors doubled their lead. Brilliant build up play through the lines ended in a low cross towards Parsons, who was unmarked in the six-yard box and tapped home easily.
The two quick goals caught Hanwell off guard and this allowed Bath to keep building chances. The best opportunity for the Geordies was an Ollie Turner free kick that rattled the post.
The first half ended 0-2.
Hanwell started the second half better. Henry Snee’s deflected free kick smashed against the bar 52 minutes in, but that’s as close as the hosts came to scoring.
The next good opportunity in the second half fell to Alex Fisher, whose unmarked header was straight at Beasant, failing to extend the visitors lead.
The second half ended with Hanwell failing to capitalise on pressure through the half and it was the visitors who took all three points.
Hanwell are next in action on Tuesday night when they face Broadfields Town in the Middlesex Senior Cup. They return to the OCS on the 27th October when they face Havant & Waterlooville in a 19.45 KO.
