Community groups and residents in Ealing are being invited to apply for grants of up to £2,000 to support local projects aimed at reducing isolation and improving wellbeing.
The funding is available through the Peabody Community Foundation’s Kerslake Awards, with applications open until 5 June 2026. The scheme supports grassroots initiatives in areas where housing association giant Peabody has homes and services.
A total of £40,000 is available each year across two funding rounds, with at least 10 projects supported in each round. The current round will award a share of £20,000 to successful applicants.
Projects can include regular activities, one-off events or community clubs designed to bring people together, support young people, improve physical or mental health, or help those at risk of homelessness.
The awards were launched in 2024 in memory of Bob Kerslake, whose career in public service focused on strengthening communities and improving lives.
A Peabody spokesperson said: “Previous funded projects have included a wide range of community-led activities, from sports and fitness sessions and after-school clubs to creative projects, choirs and oral history initiatives, alongside intergenerational activities, support groups and community gardens.”
Ealing-based groups and individuals can apply and find full details at: Peabody Kerslake Awards.
