Laila Cunningham, Reform UK’s London mayoral candidate came to Ealing on Saturday (2 May 2026) to visit Northolt Mandeville ward as part of her party’s local election campaign.
She was joined by local activists and ward candidates ahead of next week’s Ealing Council elections on 7 May 2026. The party is standing 61 candidates in the borough, with at least one in every ward.
Labour has controlled Ealing Council since 2010 and holds 56 of the authority’s 70 seats. The Liberal Democrats have eight, the Conservatives four, while two councillors are independents.
Ms Cunningham, posting on X, said: “Today, from Ealing to Barnet, Reform is bringing hope. Labour took London for granted. The Conservatives gave up on it. We’re just getting started.”
Also campaigning with Ms Cunningham in Northolt Mandeville were Marco Manassero, Conrad Lewandowski and Donal de Blacam.
Northolt Mandeville ward candidate Marco Manassero told EALING.NEWS: “Both Northolt and the wider borough of Ealing need a fresh approach after years of Labour neglect. I am standing because I want to bring practical solutions, greater accountability and a strong, independent voice for local residents. People are telling us they feel taken for granted, and they want councillors who will actually listen and act.”
