A Greenford pub has raised more than £22,000 for local causes over the past year through a series of community fundraising events.
The Greenford Arms on The Broadway, operated by Hayleigh McNamara and part of the Craft Union Pub Company, supported initiatives ranging from care home donations to fundraising for individuals and local organisations. Its efforts formed part of Craft Union’s nationwide Make It A Million campaign, which has seen pubs across the UK collectively raise more than £1.35m for charity for the second year running.
Among the activities organised at the Greenford Arms was an Easter collection that resulted in more than 200 chocolate eggs being donated to residents at a local care home. The pub also helped raise £15,000 for a local man with terminal cancer, with funds intended to support his family after he was forced to stop working.
At Christmas, the venue hosted a Santa-themed event for families, raising more than £400 for a nearby school. Additional fundraising included raffles, charity nights and volunteer-led events in partnership with a local church, alongside regular support for homeless initiatives.
Hayleigh McNamara, operator of the Greenford Arms, said: “Being part of the community isn’t just about the money you raise, it’s about the impact you make and how you show up for people when they need it most.”
