Ealing Trailfinders have signed 21-year-old New Zealand winger Brodie Robinson to strengthen their squad for the Championship Rugby season.
Robinson joins from Tasman Mako, where he featured in the National Provincial Championship, and becomes the latest in a series of mid-season arrivals aimed at bolstering the club’s back-line options.
Robinson said: “I’m really excited to join Ealing Trailfinders. It’s a great club with a strong culture. They play a great brand of rugby and I’m looking forward to contributing to the team’s success and working with my new teammates.”
The signing brings additional competition to the back three, an area in which Ealing have sought greater depth following recent injuries and rotation during the opening rounds.
Ben Ward, the club’s director of rugby, said the coaching team had monitored Robinson’s progress in New Zealand before offering him a contract.
Mr Ward said: “We’re excited to get Brodie into the club after his time with Tasman. We have watched lots of his footage from his time playing in the NPC in New Zealand and were impressed by his skills.”
