Marijn van de Geer from Ealing Greens has won the North Acton ward by-election which took place on Thursday (25 June 2026).
The Ealing Council by-election, which saw a 24.21% voter turnout, was triggered following the resignation of Green Party councillor Simon Anthony, who stepped down shortly after being elected last month (7 May 2026) citing health reasons.

Speaking to EALING.NEWS following her win, Councillor Marijn van de Geer, said: “I am so excited, I’m so grateful to all all the people in North Acton, the incredible Ealing Greens, and actually Greens from all over London who came out to help. I couldn’t have done it without them.”
Ms van de Geer added: “People on the doorstep have been so kind, so welcoming. I’ve been invited in for cups of tea, glass of water. It’s been absolutely phenomenal. The welcome I’ve had from the community, I’ve heard some really serious things that people need help with, and I cannot wait to get to work and work for the people of North Acton.”
