A Perivale logistics company has helped Ealing Foodbank distribute enough food to provide more than 335,000 meals as demand for emergency support across the borough remained high last year.
Palletline London has provided a dedicated vehicle and driver to collect donations from supermarkets and transport food between the charity’s warehouse and its eight foodbank centres for the past three years.
Ealing Foodbank received 119 tonnes of donated food in 2025 and bought a further 79 tonnes of essential items. Together, they provided enough food for 335,448 meals, supporting 23,962 adults and 13,306 children. During the year, the charity distributed 15,614 emergency food parcels.
Alongside food support, more than 350 volunteers held over 1,800 conversations with people seeking help with issues including debt, benefits and completing forms. Those sessions helped secure £839,059 in additional income for foodbank users.
In its latest annual report, Ealing Foodbank thanked Palletline for its support in transporting food donations between supermarkets, its warehouse and foodbank centres.
Ucal McLeod, general manager of Palletline London, said: “The reality is that foodbanks continue to face significant and sustained demand from people who never imagined they would need to ask for help.”
