Year 10 pupils at Featherstone High School in Southall got a taste of working in advertising when they took on a creative challenge based on a real campaign by haircare brand Pantene.
Twenty-five business studies students took part in the session during the school’s Arts Week last month (21 October 2026).
Staff from creative agency onepointfive coached the pupils as they developed branding ideas and prepared presentations explaining their work. The challenge was based on Pantene’s Power of Hair campaign, which explores hair, identity and confidence.
Pupil Maliha, 15, said the workshop had made her realise there were “so many creative careers” she had not previously considered.
Pantene and onepointfive have supported the Ideas Foundation programme since 2021. Featherstone pupils have previously taken part in poetry, photography and digital storytelling workshops, but this was the school’s first session focusing on brand experiences.
Featherstone School enrichment coordinator Sarah Horton told EALING.NEWS: “During Arts Week, we wanted our students to engage with professionals and highlight how they can apply their creativity and skills developed through the arts within wider subject areas.
“The perfect opportunity came through our prior links with the Ideas Foundation. The student and teacher feedback was excellent and the students really got a lot out of the day.”
