The interim chief executive of the NHS organisation responsible for planning health services across Ealing and 12 other London boroughs has been appointed permanently.
Katie Fisher has been confirmed as chief executive of NHS West and North London Integrated Care Board (ICB) after leading the organisation on an interim basis since February 2026.
She took over after Frances O’Callaghan left to become chief executive of NHS Blood and Transplant, and oversaw the launch of the new ICB in April 2026 following the merger of North West London and North Central London integrated care boards.
A nurse by background, Ms Fisher has previously served as chief executive of Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
She said the organisation would focus on prevention, early intervention and providing more care in the community.
Mike Bell, chair of NHS West and North London Integrated Care Board, said: “Katie has already made a really positive impact in her time as interim CEO, bringing clarity of direction and compassionate leadership to what has been a difficult and extended period of change.”
