Young people with lived experience of mental health services will lead workshops in Acton and Feltham schools during Children’s Mental Health Week, as part of a programme run by West London NHS Trust.
The trust said its Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Youth Ambassadors – trained young people who have previously used CAMHS – would deliver sessions in schools across Ealing and Hounslow from 9 to 15 February, helping pupils explore wellbeing and emotional safety.
One workshop will take place at St Vincent’s Primary School in Acton on Tuesday morning (10 February 2026), where ambassadors will speak with pupils about mental health and the week’s national theme, “This Is My Space”.
The sessions will include short presentations and creative activities encouraging children to draw or write about their idea of a safe space, followed by group discussions on belonging, inclusion and identity.
Callum Savva, a youth ambassador, said: “Delivering these workshops has shown me how much children want to talk about their feelings when they’re given the space and support to do it.”
Yassen Alsafi, another ambassador, said: “When pupils realise they’re not alone in how they feel, you can see a huge weight lift off their shoulders.”
