One of India’s best-known food brands, Haldiram’s, is marking Diwali in the borough this year with a pop-up stall offering freshly made sweets and snacks outside its Southall factory on Brent Road.
Running until Sunday (19 October 2025), the initiative aims to bring a community-focused celebration of the Festival of Lights to the heart of the area.
Rather than relying on the company’s usual pre-packaged boxes, the stall will serve Indian sweets made on site, allowing customers to mix and match favourites and buy them by weight. Haldiram’s says the idea is to combine the brand’s global reach with a local, artisanal feel.
Visitors will also find namkeen (savoury snacks) and frozen goods from the company’s wider range. Classic sweets such as motichoor laddoo and kaju katli will be joined by seasonal specials, showcasing the variety of confections that have made Haldiram’s a household name across India and among the diaspora.
Rhea Agarwal, the company’s director of business development for the UK and Europe, said the event was a way to “stay connected to our roots and our community”. She added: “We’re very excited to welcome everyone to our doorstep – to celebrate tradition, share fresh flavours, and make the festive season feel truly special, right here in Southall.”
The stall will operate daily from 10am to 10pm until 19 October at Haldiram’s UK factory, Unit 9C, Beaver Industrial Park, Brent Road, Southall, UB2 5FB.
