Sixth form students across Ealing have outperformed London and national averages in this year’s A-level results, with early figures also showing an improvement on 2025.
According to provisional figures released by Ealing Council on Friday (14 August 2026), 60.5% of A-level entries for 2026 were awarded A*-B grades, compared with 59.6% across London and 55.5% nationally.
The borough-wide figures are based on returns from the majority of Ealing secondary schools and remain provisional while final results are compiled. Of the schools reported so far, 98.2% achieved A*-E. Results have also improved on 2025, with the proportion awarded A*-B up three percentage points and A*-A grades up four percentage points.
Among the stronger performances, St Benedict’s School saw 53% of A-level grades were A*-A and 82% were A*-B while Twyford Church of England School recorded 47% of grades at A*-A and 73% at A*-B.
Academic results also improved compared with 2025 at Islip Manor High School, Featherstone High School, William Perkin Church of England School, Elthorne Park High School and Villiers High School.
There were also improvements in vocational results for students at Dormers Wells High School, Islip Manor High School, Featherstone High School, Ellen Wilkinson School for Girls and Greenford High School.
Councillor Blerina Hashani, Ealing Council’s cabinet member for children, young people and schools, said: “The early results are very encouraging and show the borough continuing to perform strongly compared with both London and national averages.
“It is particularly pleasing to see many schools building on last year’s success and improving their results further.”
