Students at Ark Acton Academy are celebrating their A-level and BTEC results, with pupils securing places at universities including UCL, King’s College London, Imperial and Bristol.
All 31 students taking BTEC Level 3 qualifications achieved DDM – Distinction, Distinction, Merit – or above. The school said its Applied Science BTEC results place it in the top 10% nationally for progress.
The results come ahead of Ark Acton moving to a fully vocational sixth form from September, specialising in Business Studies, Sport Science, Medical Applied Science and IT.
Among A-level students, Sebastian achieved AAAA and will study engineering at Imperial, while Ara achieved AAA*A and will study engineering at UCL.
Neshan achieved A*AB and has been offered a bursary to study Medicine at King’s College London.
Harun achieved AAA and has been offered a bursary to study Biomedical Engineering at UCL, while Reanna achieved ABB and a bursary to study Psychology with Innovation at the University of Bristol.
Ark Acton Academy principal Sarah Donachy said: “Congratulations to our Year 13 students on achieving such an impressive set of A level and BTEC results.”
She added: “I am particularly delighted that every one of our BTEC Level 3 students achieved DDM or above.”
