More than half of GCSE grades awarded at St Augustine’s Priory this summer were at grades 9-7, with particularly strong results in modern languages and drama.
The Ealing school said 54% of all grades were at 9-7, equivalent to the former A*-A grades, while 32% were at grades 9-8.
Modern languages produced some of the school’s strongest results, with 94% of grades at 9-7 and 65% awarded the top grade 9. In drama, 90% of grades were at 9-7.
Among the highest-achieving pupils, Elkie received eight grade 9s and two grade 8s, while Aline achieved eight grade 9s and one grade 8. Eliza received seven grade 9s, one grade 8 and a grade 7, while Róisín achieved six grade 9s and three grade 8s.
The GCSE results follow the school’s A-level results last week, when 48% of grades were A*-A and 84% were A*-B.
Headteacher Christine Macallister said: “We are enormously proud of our pupils and all that they have achieved.
“Behind every set of grades is an individual story of hard work, progress and perseverance.”
