Youth comes to Ealing to raise money for charity

Youth, one of the world’s leading music producers and founding member and bassist of rock band Killing Joke was in Ealing last Saturday (7 December 2024) to help launch a fundraising record to raise money for charity Food For All.

The producer, born Martin Glover, says he was inspired by the work of Food For All and Beatle George Harrison.

‘This Love’ available in 12″ single, 7″ single, CD and digital, was recorded at Abbey Road Studios and features musicians from the Radha Krishna Temple. which George Harrison donated to in 1973. The musicians on the charity single play a wide range of instruments as what Youth calls a “multi-fusion collective.”

When not working with his own bands and solo projects, Youth has also produced and remixed a wide range of artists, from Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd and The Verve to Crowded House and Razorlight.

Speaking at a record and CD fair at Christ the Saviour Church Hall in Ealing Broadway, he said: “I was introduced to the Hari Krishnas through Poly Styrene of X-Ray Spex. I was very happy to help and support this project. They are brilliant examples of human beings. Through their charity Food For All UK, the temple does so much good work, producing thousands of meals a day from their kitchen near Kings Cross.”
