Investigation underway after Southall house fire

Eight people were rescued by firefighters after a blaze broke out at a house in Southall in the early hours of Friday morning (21 August 2026).

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to the end-of-terrace property in Shackleton Road.

The first of four 999 calls was received at 1.41am, with crews from Southall, Ealing and Hillingdon fire stations sent to the scene. The fire was brought under control by 2.23am.

The London Fire Brigade said the front door was damaged by fire and there was smoke damage throughout the house.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the London Fire Brigade and Metropolitan Police.
