Nearly half of all GCSE entries at Notting Hill & Ealing High School have been awarded the top grade as its Year 11 students received their results.
The Ealing school said 45% of entries from its cohort of 94 students achieved grade 9, while 74% were graded 9 or 8 and 91% received grades between 9 and 7.
Twenty-eight students, representing 30% of the year group, achieved seven or more grade 9s, while 32% received only grades 9 and 8.
The results come a week after the school reported that 23% of its A-level entries were awarded A*, with 64% receiving A* or A.
Allison Saunders, head of Notting Hill & Ealing High School, said: “Huge congratulations to our Year 11 cohort on a fantastic set of GCSE results today.
“Watching this group grow in confidence and determination over the past two years has been a joy, and today’s success is richly deserved.”
The school said particularly strong GCSE results were recorded in modern and classical languages, music, religious studies and art, alongside results in STEM and humanities subjects.
