Businesses across Ealing and the wider west London area have been given extra time to enter this year’s West London Chambers Business Awards after organisers extended the deadline to 27 July 2026.
Run by West London Chambers of Commerce, the awards recognise business achievement across a wide range of sectors, with 19 categories including Best SME, Best Start Up, Best Tech Business and Business Leader. Judging will take place later this year ahead of a shortlist announcement in November and a gala ceremony at Novotel London West in Hammersmith.
Lisa Rides, office manager, at the West London Chambers of Commerce, said: “We’ve received a fantastic response to this year’s Business Awards, and we know many businesses are putting the finishing touches to their applications. By extending the deadline, we’re ensuring that every organisation has the opportunity to tell its story and showcase the innovation, resilience and success that exists across West London.”
Alan Rides, chief executive of West London Chambers, previously told EALING.NEWS one key feature of the awards is that they are free to enter for businesses based in Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow, with no requirement to be a member.
Mr Rides said: “We’re here for our members to best showcase their business. We’re not looking to earn money out of them by showing off how good they are; we’re looking to try and push them forward and push them up the ladder for greater success. And if they get greater success, it’s good for everybody—good for the business in West London, good for us.”
He said recognition can be crucial for smaller firms trying to establish themselves.
Mr Rides said: “When you’re an entrepreneur… you need to have exposure. You need to have recognition, you need to have some acknowledgement.”
The chamber has grown significantly in recent years, expanding from around 300 members in Hounslow to more than 2,300 across Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow, with a wider database of around 8,500 businesses.
Last year’s awards saw strong success for Ealing-based organisations, which took five major prizes on the night.
CBA Rope Access was named Best Entrepreneur for its work in specialist high-level maintenance across construction and infrastructure. XAir Technologies won Best New Business, while Sensor IT took the Best Tech Business award.
The University of West London was named Business Enabler of the Year, and Ealing Living Magazine won the Community Award.
Mr Rides added the awards have become one of the largest run by a chamber of commerce in the UK.
He said: “It’s one of the biggest for any Chambers of Commerce in the country… it’s very prestigious and it’s recognised by people when they go up to get it.”
