Ealing residents invited to community clothes swap

Residents are being invited to swap unwanted clothes and accessories at a community event in Ealing on Saturday (20 June 2026) aimed at helping people save money and reduce waste.

The Foundation Wellbeing Trust will hold its Swap & Save event at OPEN Ealing in Dickens Yard, Ealing Broadway from 1pm to 5pm.

Tickets start from £2.50, with visitors able to browse and buy second-hand clothing. Those taking part in the swap can exchange items through a token system, receiving tokens for clothes and accessories they bring along and using them to select replacement items.

Organisers expect around 50 people to attend the event, which forms part of the charity’s wider Green Exchange programme encouraging the reuse of clothing and other items.

OPEN Ealing is hosting the event, while the programme is being delivered by the Foundation Wellbeing Trust with support from local partners including Ealing and Hounslow Community and Voluntary Service (EHCVS).

A spokesperson for the Foundation Wellbeing Trust said: “We are absolutely thrilled to bring the FWT Green Exchange to OPEN Ealing.

“Ealing residents have a massive appetite for circular fashion, and our Swap & Save events are about so much more than just sustainability. It gives everyone a joyful, social and affordable way to refresh their wardrobes while reducing textile waste.”
