Ealing domestic abuse charity receives £2,500 funding boost

A charity supporting people experiencing domestic abuse in Ealing has received a £2,500 donation from the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation after being nominated by staff at the society’s local branch.

The funding was awarded to Hestia to help continue delivering services for adults and children facing crisis situations, including domestic abuse, homelessness and mental health challenges.

Hestia runs a range of support services across the borough, including domestic abuse refuges, outreach programmes, homelessness prevention services and the Ealing Safe Space, which provides drop-in mental health crisis support for adults.

The charity was nominated by Amira Hassan, a customer consultant at the Yorkshire Building Society branch in Ealing, who highlighted the organisation’s work supporting vulnerable residents.

Ms Hassan said: “We are proud to be able to support Hestia in our community with a donation from Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation. Their work helps individuals feel safe, supported and able to rebuild their lives.”

Rosa Dennis, philanthropy & partnerships coordinator at Hestia, added: “We are delighted Yorkshire Building Society is joining us to ensure more adults and children find safety, hope and purpose after crisis.”
