Perivale golf club marks comeback at Hanwell course

Nearly two years after the closure of their home course at Perivale Park Golf Course by Ealing Council — now redeveloped as Pear Tree Park — members of Perivale Park Golf Club have re-established themselves at Hanwell’s Brent Valley Golf Course.

The club recently brought together 65 members and guests to celebrate its 2025 trophy winners, in an event that reflected both its recovery and continued community focus.

Club captain Marie O’Gorman said the move had not been without challenges. She told EALING.NEWS: “Two years ago, we lost our home course — but we refused to let that define us. What makes this club special is our people. We welcome golfers of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, and that diversity is our strength. Nights like this show just how far we’ve come.

“It hasn’t been easy. Brent Valley is a more challenging course and winter conditions can be tough, and we’ve sadly lost some of our older members along the way — they just couldn’t manage the tougher conditions. But we’ve adapted, stayed positive, and continued to grow.

“This really is golf for everyone — exactly what public golf courses were meant to provide.”

Now based in Hanwell, close to the Elizabeth line station, the club runs more than 200 competitions each year and offers membership at £60 annually, or £40 concessions, positioning itself as a relatively low-cost option for organised golf in London.
