Children across London are being invited to unleash their creativity in a new cake design competition from Cake Box, the bakery chain known for its egg-less cream cakes and with five branches in the borough – in Acton, West Ealing, Greenford and Southall.
The “Mini Cake Masters” challenge, open until 28 August 2025, asks children to collect a design sheet from their local store, sketch out their dream cake and list its ingredients before returning it for judging. Each participating store will select a finalist, with one national winner announced on 1 September 2025.
Entry forms can be collected in store or downloaded from the Cake Box website.
The winning child will see their cake design brought to life by Cake Box’s bakers and will get a “Cake Box Party”, complete with their creation, a party platter, balloons and other extras.
Sukh Chamdal, founder and chief executive, said: “We can’t wait to see the amazing ideas children in London come up with. Whether it’s a cake shaped like a castle, covered in rainbows, or inspired by a favourite hobby, our bakers will bring the winning vision to life.”
He added: “We’re encouraging as many families as possible to take part – it’s a great summer activity and someone from London could be our national winner.”
