Customers who have been visiting a West Ealing hair salon since it first opened in 1986 were among those celebrating its 40th anniversary earlier this month (4 July 2026).
Minoo’s Hair & Beauty, at 16 The Avenue, marked the milestone with a celebration attended by long-standing clients, friends and family. The event also raised £400 for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
One customer said: “Minoo’s has been the staple of The Avenue since its opening – a place to get your hair done and make life-long friends.”
Owner Minoo said the occasion had been both joyful and emotional.
She told EALING.NEWS: “It meant so much to me to have so many dear clients, friends and family join me – my children and my grandchildren.
“It was also bittersweet, as my husband, Patrick Sullivan, who was always a great support for me and my salon, sadly passed away in 2021 but was warmly remembered at the celebrations.”
As well as running the salon, Minoo started the annual Avenue Christmas Party and the lighting of The Avenue Christmas tree, helping establish what has become a regular festive tradition in West Ealing.
