South Ealing Cemetery will open its gates to visitors on Saturday (6 June 2026), with a free community open day celebrating the site’s history, wildlife and heritage.
The event runs from 11am to 3pm and will include access to the Grade II-listed South Chapel, where visitors can see the original 1877 clock and gong mechanism and stained-glass windows.
Volunteers from the Ealing Parks Foundation will be available throughout the day to discuss plans to restore the chapels for future community use.
Visitors can also join a guided walk with a local naturalist or take part in a history tour exploring some of the stories behind those buried in the cemetery.
Other attractions include a craft and vintage market hosted by The Wandering Fox, refreshments on the Magnolia Lawn and nature activities linked to World Environment Day.
