Three vans have been destroyed in a fire in Park Royal. Part of a disused office block was also damaged during the blaze on Sunday evening (21 September 2025).
The London Fire Brigade said it was called to Lakeside Drive shortly after 6.20pm. Eight fire engines and about 60 firefighters attended, with crews from Park Royal, Wembley, Acton, Ealing and Willesden sent to the scene. The blaze was brought under control by 7.37pm.
The vans, parked at the rear of the derelict building, were completely burned out. Two single-storey units and a section of the building’s external facade were also damaged. One man was treated at the scene for burns before being taken to hospital.
Station commander Mick Palmer, who was at the incident, said: “There was a lot of heavy smoke which prompted 32 calls to the Brigade’s 999 Control officers. Fortunately only a small part of the external facade of the building was damaged in the blaze.
“Due to the smoke, local residents were advised to shut their doors and windows.”
Firefighters remained at the scene into the evening to damp down hotspots and secure the site. The cause is being investigated.
