Protesters from direct action group Just Stop Oil have targeted petrol stations across London including BP in Perivale where they have attacked fuel pumps and blocked access to petrol stations.
The action started in early this morning (26 August 2022) and saw police attend the BP petrol station to make arrests.

In a series of tweets, announcing its action, the group said: “Reckless governments continue to greenlight new fossil fuel production – the UK Government is set to approve 46 new north sea oil fields this autumn. Our fate is being sealed, making us poorer, less safe and fueling the unravelling of the once stable climate.”
It added: “We will continue in Civil Resistance to a criminal government until it agrees to End New Oil and Gas. The time to stand by has passed. Collectively we can and will end new oil. Join us in October and demand the Government acts to protect and defend all our futures.”
