A new recruitment hub has opened in Acton to help local residents find jobs, apprenticeships and training linked to HS2 and major regeneration projects around Old Oak Common.
The drop-in service, based at Acton Jobcentre Plus, officially opened on Tuesday (30 June 2026) following a partnership between HS2 and the Department for Work and Pensions. It brings together employers and organisations including the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) and the National Careers Service.
The hub aims to connect people of all ages with employment opportunities as construction continues on HS2 and regeneration gathers pace around Old Oak Common, one of west London’s largest development sites.
HS2 chief executive Mark Wild said the investment around Old Oak Common had already created thousands of jobs and would continue to generate new employment opportunities over the coming years.
OPDC said its wider regeneration plans for the area are expected to deliver up to 11,000 jobs and more than 8,000 new homes across parts of Ealing, Brent and Hammersmith & Fulham.
