Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a shed fire on Lee Road in Perivale after a series of emergency calls were received early on Monday (17 November 2025) morning.
The London Fire Brigade took the first of 15 calls at 6.42am, and crews from Wembley, Park Royal and Northolt fire stations were sent to the scene.
The shed was destroyed, but there were no reports of any injuries. It is believed the blaze was accidental and caused by gas leaking from a cylinder inside the shed. During the operation, firefighters removed a propane cylinder as a precaution. The London Fire Brigade said the cylinder was cooled to an ambient temperature because cylinders exposed to high heat can explode and pose a serious risk to crews and the public.
Firefighters worked quickly to contain the blaze and it was brought under control by 7.32am. Residents in the area reported hearing emergency vehicles and smelling smoke as the incident unfolded.
