Families in Ealing dealing with the challenges of separation and family breakdowns now have a new online tool to turn to.
The West London Family Courts Information website officially launched today (3 September 2025), providing free and practical resources to guide people through the Family Justice System.
The site has been developed with input from family lawyers and a family judge and is aimed at supporting residents across West London boroughs, including Ealing. It offers plain-language explanations of court processes, video tours of family courtrooms, and information about where to find additional help.
With family court waiting times in London at record levels, the website also signposts alternatives such as mediation and arbitration, while highlighting local charities and services.
Judge Judith Rowe KC of the West London Family Court, who spearheaded the project, explained: “It seemed to me that there was a lack of accessible information available when people are having to go to a family court. I understand that going to court can be a very frightening experience, and we wanted to create a website that would ease people’s fears and help them feel more informed. This site gives clear guidance on what to expect and should help reduce any anxiety or uncertainty.”
