A man has been barred from entering specific shops in Ealing and neighbouring areas for five years under a Criminal Behaviour Order.
The order was made against Jagjit Rao at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court last week (28 October 2026) and covers shops in West Ealing, Pitshanger, Ealing Broadway, Brentford, Isleworth and Chiswick, though the Metropolitan Police has not named them.
Rao must leave a business if staff or security ask him to go and cannot enter premises where he has been banned, or staff-only areas without permission. The order also prohibits him from being in a public place with retail goods worth more than £40 after passing the point of sale unless he can show proof of purchase.
Police said the restrictions aim to prevent further offending and protect local businesses. Breaching the order is a criminal offence and can lead to arrest, prosecution and imprisonment.
Joshua Nesbitt, a PCSO with Ealing’s neighbourhood policing team, said: “Information and intelligence provided by retailers, staff and members of the public continue to play a vital role in identifying offenders and securing positive results.”
