Ahmadiyya youth in Southall lead community initiatives

Young people from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association UK in Southall have organised a series of community, educational and wellbeing initiatives so far in 2026.

Based at Darus Salaam Mosque, the group recently held a Ta‘lim (educational) session focusing on global conflicts and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s motto, “Love for All, Hatred for None”. Around 10 young people attended the interactive question-and-answer session, which explored themes of peace, compassion and unity.

Mudasar Ahmed, spokesperson for Southall Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth, said: “These activities are focused on promoting service, unity and wellbeing within the local community, while encouraging young people to reflect on how faith can guide responses to modern challenges.”

Volunteering has also been a key focus, with eight young members supporting a regional women’s gathering across multiple venues, assisting organisers with logistics.

The group has also organised “Fajr Fit” sessions, combining early morning prayer with group exercise. Organisers said the initiative is intended to support both physical health and social connection among participants.
