Around 60 firefighters and eight fire engines have tackled a blaze at a vehicle workshop on Boston Road in Hanwell early on Sunday (10 November 2024) morning.
According to the London Fire Brigade, the fire took place in a workshop containing three vehicles. One person was rescued from the fire by crews using a ladder. There were no reports of any injuries. Crews from Ealing, Southall, Acton and surrounding fire stations attended the incident.
Around 50 people from nearby properties were evacuated by police and the fire service as firefighters cooled off gas cylinders located at the scene.
Reports of the fire came in at 5:04am and the blaze was under control by 7:09am.
Traffic in and around the junction of Boston Road and Uxbridge was impacted during the incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
