Sixteen shared ownership homes went on sale in Southall on Saturday (31 October 2026), with priority for buyers who live or work anywhere in the borough of Ealing.
Housing association Sovereign Network Group (SNG) released the flats as the first phase of its Indigo development on Merrick Road.
The development offers one to three-bedroom apartments, each with a private balcony, as well as a communal roof terrace. It is close to Southall station and Elizabeth line services.
The cheapest one-bedroom flat has a full market value of £380,000, with a 25% share costing £95,000. A buyer putting down the minimum 5% deposit of £4,750 would need a £90,250 mortgage.
SNG estimates monthly payments of £512 for the mortgage, £653 in rent on the remaining share and a £182 service charge, bringing the total to £1,347. The minimum annual household income required is £48,883.
According to SNG, these figures apply to the cheapest one-bedroom home in the first phase. Actual mortgage payments will depend on the buyer’s mortgage deal.
Shared ownership buyers can also increase their stake in their home by purchasing further shares.
SNG interim assistant sales director for West, London and East Sue Gallagher said: “Indigo brings high-quality, affordable new homes to Southall, combining an exceptional location with thoughtful designs and premium finishes.”
