Affordable housing project reaches key milestone in West Ealing

A major milestone has been reached in the construction of 144 new affordable homes in West Ealing as partners behind the scheme gathered for a topping out ceremony.

The 55 West development, next to West Ealing Elizabeth Line station, is being delivered by Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing (MTVH) in partnership with HG Construction. The scheme will provide 144 homes at London Living Rent levels.

Representatives from MTVH, HG Construction, the Greater London Authority and Ealing Council attended the ceremony last week (14 May 2026).

The brownfield site development will also include a communal roof garden and two flexible commercial units at ground level.

Mel Barrett, MTVH chief executive, said: “Reaching this stage at 55 West is an important moment and an example of what strong partnerships can deliver notwithstanding challenging market conditions.”

Adam Quinn, HG Construction chief executive, said: “Topping out at 55 West marks a major milestone and highlights the strength of collaboration between the project team, MTVH and Ealing Council.”
