Free fitness classes for women return to Acton

Free weekly fitness classes for women are returning to Acton next month as a community project backed by Sport England opens registration for its latest programme.

The Movement on the Mount sessions, organised by Action West London, will run four days a week in June and are aimed at helping women in the W3 area become more active in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

Activities include street dance, yoga, dance fitness and bodyweight circuit training, with organisers saying the classes are designed for beginners as well as those already exercising regularly.

Since launching in November 2025, more than 70 local women have taken part in the project. Organisers said participants had reported improvements to both their fitness and confidence, while others said the sessions had helped reduce stress and improve mental wellbeing.

Zahra Shah, Movement on the Mount project manager for Action West London said: “We are delighted to offer our biggest line-up yet this June. We welcome all fitness levels, especially those who are just starting their fitness journey.”

The next term begins on 1 June 2026, with registration closing on 25 May 2026. To find out more and register, click here.
