Students at Notting Hill & Ealing High School (NHEHS) were celebrating today (14 August 2025) after receiving their A-level results which saw 24% of entries graded A*, 62% A* or A and 91% awarded A* to B.

Among the 71 students taking their A-levels, 36 secured AAA or better and 33 achieved at least one A* grade, reflecting what the school describes as its “continued commitment to academic excellence and individual success.”

Students are heading on to study a wide range of subjects, from dentistry, motor sport engineering and marine biology to architecture, aerospace engineering, liberal arts and medical genetics. Popular university destinations include Durham, Edinburgh, UCL, Bristol, Oxford and Cambridge.

Allison Saunders, head at NHEHS, said: “These fantastic results are testament to the hard work, ambition and determination of our students and to the support and dedication of their teachers. While I’ve only known this cohort for a short time, I have been so impressed by their energy, talent and creativity and I am delighted to see what they have achieved in their results. I have no doubt they will thrive in the wide variety of university courses they have chosen and I’m excited to see what they will go on to achieve beyond school.”

Students spoke of the support they had received in the Sixth Form. Deputy head girl, Nirupama Krishnakumaran, who will read Economics at Cambridge, said: “I’m incredibly grateful for the dedicated support from my teachers in all subjects and through the whole UCAS process. I’m very excited to be moving on to the University of Cambridge now!”

Another deputy head girl Hope Glyn, heading to Edinburgh to study Classics, added: “It’s been an incredible experience doing Classics at Notting Hill & Ealing High School, with a large cohort of students supporting each other throughout senior school.”
