A 17-year-old boy from Southall has been charged with murder following the death of a 24-year-old man in a collision in North Kensington.
The teenager, who cannot be named because of his age, was charged on Wednesday (30 September) alongside 19-year-old Charles Egonye, of Wulfstan Street, Shepherd’s Bush.
Both are due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court today.
The charges follow the death of Kariem Abdelhalim, 24, who was found seriously injured on North Pole Road, North Kensington, in the early hours of Friday (25 September).
Police were called at around 1.20am and attended with the London Ambulance Service, but Mr Abdelhalim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives said Mr Abdelhalim had been riding an e-bike and was being pursued by a moped shortly before the collision.
The two defendants were arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday (28 September) before being charged two days later.
Mr Abdelhalim’s next of kin are being supported by specialist officers.
