A 54-year-old woman has been charged with burglary after two parcels were allegedly stolen from a block of flats in East Acton.
The parcels, worth a combined £40.59, had been delivered to the communal lobby of Granta Court, W3, on 5 June 2026.
PC Ryan Sharpe, of the East Acton Neighbourhood Policing Team, investigated the alleged theft and obtained CCTV footage of a suspect. An image was circulated among officers and police said the person pictured was subsequently identified by an officer.
Following further enquiries, a 54-year-old woman was arrested last week (25 September 2026) and charged with burglary.
She appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court the following day and was remanded in custody. She is due to appear at Isleworth Crown Court on 23 October 2026.
East Acton ward sergeant Chris Robinson said: “Regardless of the monetary value involved, we recognise the impact that theft has on victims and the wider community.
“PC Sharpe pursued the available evidence, secured CCTV and used it to identify a suspect, ultimately resulting in an arrest and charge.”
