South Acton man jailed for crimes committed in High Wycombe

Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a 22-year-old man from South Acton has been jailed for multiple offences for crimes carried out in High Wycombe including assault, false imprisonment and supplying class A drugs.

Wayne Palmer of Weston Road was sentenced to seven years and six months in prison at Aylesbury Crown Court last Wednesday (19 March 2025).

Palmer pleaded guilty last month (21 February 2025) to one count each of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent, attempted robbery and false imprisonment and two counts of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs crack cocaine and heroin.

In 2023, at around 10pm on 13 December, Palmer approached a man in his thirties on Priory Road in High Wycombe and said that he owed him money for drugs. The victim was then taken to an address on the same road where further demands were made for money.

Palmer along with an accomplice, violently attacked the victim for around four hours which has left the victim with life-changing injuries.

Palmer was arrested on 2 January 2024 and charged the next day.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Emily Sendall said: “I hope that the sentence handed down in this case shows that Thames Valley Police will not tolerate such senseless violence and drug dealing. I would like to thank the victim for his bravery in coming forward and his continued support of the investigation.

“We would urge the public to report drug-dealing to Thames Valley Police, so we can develop intelligence into proactive investigations.”
