Metropolitan Police have revealed that six drivers have been issued with a notification of intention to prosecute following an anti-social car meet which took place earlier this month at Asda in Park Royal.
In a statement, the Met said: “We have been working in partnership with Asda, Ealing Council as well as colleagues from the Met’s Safer Roads Team to provide a solution to this problem which is having a persistent detrimental effect on the local community.”
Following a car meet on 11 January 2025, as well as six drivers being issued with a notification of intention to prosecute, 37 vehicles/drivers were given warnings and 18 letters were sent to registered keepers of the cars advising them to not attend these car meets.
The Met added: “Asda are still working towards a package of changes to the access road and car park, which we hope will be in place in the coming weeks. We continue to hold weekly meetings to review enforcement opportunities against those involved.”
