Two businesses in Southall are set to receive fines as Ealing Council and Metropolian Police step up action over persistent fly-tipping and waste problems around The Green.
The businesses face £300 fixed penalty notices after failing to provide current and valid trade waste agreements when requested, according to Southall Green Safer Neighbourhood Team.
Police and council officers visited the area earlier this month (17 August 2026) as part of efforts to tackle rubbish being left around The Green, Osterley Park Road and a rear alleyway.
Residents living in flats above shops have been told to leave their household rubbish at designated collection points next to 72 and 94 The Green, while businesses are being told where commercial waste should be left for collection.
The council is also planning community protection warnings for affected residents and landowners as it seeks to tackle waste and fly-tipping in the alleyway.
Posting on Met Engage, PCSO Disha Varsani, of Southall Green Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “These measures are intended to reduce the accumulation of domestic and commercial waste on the footway and prevent obstruction of the highway.
“The overall objective of these measures is to establish clear waste management arrangements and reduce, with the ultimate aim of eliminating, the persistent fly-tipping issues.”
