Appeal over reported sexual offence on Elizabeth Line train

British Transport Police have released images of a man they want to speak to following a reported sexual offence on an Elizabeth Line train between Ealing Broadway and Slough.

Officers said the incident occurred at about 6.45pm on 10 January 2026 on a train travelling from Ealing Broadway to Slough. Police said a man who was travelling with his family was seated on the service when the passenger sitting opposite him began masturbating.

Officers said the behaviour was witnessed during the journey and was reported to police shortly afterwards. An investigation was launched and detectives are now appealing for help from the public to identify a man shown in images.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said officers believed the man in the images may have information that could assist their enquiries and urged anyone who recognises him to get in touch.

Anyone who recognises the man is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference number 468 of 10 January. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
