Ealing’s University of West London (UWL) has received four nominations in this year’s UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) Awards.
UWL is in the running for University of the Year, while graduate Nicoletta Scurtu has been shortlisted for Student of the Year.
Ms Scurtu, who graduated this summer with a BSc (Hons) in Cyber Security, served as president of two university societies and organised hackathons with SEGA and the British Computer Society.
She said: “I feel incredibly proud to receive this recognition after three rewarding years at UWL. I have grown immensely on an academic, professional and personal level.”
Senior International Student Experience Officer Andreea-Daniela Coroama has also been nominated for Staff of the Year.
UWL’s Study Support Team completes the four nominations, with its English Social Café shortlisted for Outstanding Student Support. The café helps international students build confidence in English, settle into UK academic life and connect with other students.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Bloomsbury Ballroom in London on 18 November 2026.
