Residents in Old Oak and North Acton will get their first look at revised plans to improve walking and cycling on Victoria Road and Old Oak Lane when they go on display tomorrow (14 July 2026).
The drop-in event, organised by the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) with Ealing Council, runs from 3.30pm to 7.30pm at Oaklands Social on Old Oak Common Lane, ahead of a formal consultation due to begin later this autumn.
The plans have been revised after OPDC gathered feedback through two public events and an online survey last autumn. According to OPDC, more than 18,000 homes were leafleted about the consultation, although only around 50 people attended the events and 17 completed the online survey.
Residents who took part last autumn said Victoria Road and Old Oak Lane did not feel safe for people walking or cycling. Among the concerns raised were heavy lorry traffic, poor road surfaces, inadequate lighting, flooding beneath railway bridges, too few pedestrian crossings and a lack of greenery.
Anyone unable to make Tuesday’s event will be able to view the plans online from Wednesday (15 July 2026).
