The outgoing chief executive of London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, which runs Ealing Hospital and Central Middlesex Hospital, has visited Downing Street after the trust was recognised as one of the country’s most improved performers for reducing waiting lists.
Pippa Nightingale was invited to No 10 in recognition of the trust’s progress in elective care ahead of her move later this summer to become chief executive of Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust was ranked the fifth most improved trust in England for referral-to-treatment performance. Trust figures show performance increased from 51.6% to 64.4%, while the number of patients waiting the longest for treatment fell from 2,888 to 778.
Pippa Nightingale, chief executive of London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, said: “It was a real privilege to represent LNWH, but this recognition belongs to our teams. Thank you for everything you’re doing for our patients every day – and let’s keep building on the progress we’ve made.”
