The honours list includes Hanwell-raised footballer Chloe Kelly, who receives an MBE for services to football. Kelly, a former Elthorne Park High School pupil, scored the winning goal in England’s Euro 2022 final victory over Germany and earlier this year was awarded the Freedom of the Borough of Ealing.

Ealing Council youth justice worker Jennie Truman has been awarded an OBE for services to vulnerable young people and families. Ms Truman works with some of the borough’s most vulnerable children, helping to coordinate support between schools, families and public services.

Sarah Hamilton-Fairley, chief executive of The UK Sepsis Trust and an Ealing resident, also receives an OBE. She was recognised for services to sepsis awareness after helping to lead campaigns that have brought greater public attention to the life-threatening condition.

Environmental campaigner Kabir Kaul, 21, has been awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) for services to nature. Mr Kaul played a leading role in the campaign to save Warren Farm Nature Reserve in Southall, which secured Local Nature Reserve status from Ealing Council earlier this year.
